When you submit an enquiry through the Charter, Sales or Deliveries forms, we collect the data you voluntarily provide: name, email, phone, message and, depending on the section, your preferred date or number of guests.

This data is stored in our database so we can handle your request: contact you, confirm availability, and send you a quote or information about the boat or service you asked about.

We do not use this data for marketing unless you give us explicit consent to do so, and we do not share it with third parties for commercial purposes.

Processing is based on your consent, given when you voluntarily submit the form, and on Essence Sailing's legitimate interest in responding to enquiries it receives. If an enquiry turns into a booking or purchase, processing is then also based on performing that contract.

We keep your enquiry data for as long as needed to handle it and, if a booking or purchase goes ahead, for as long as the business relationship and any applicable legal obligations (e.g. tax) require. You can ask us to delete it at any time — see the rights section below.

Your data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure, which acts as our data processor and applies Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission to ensure an adequate level of protection for any transfer outside the European Economic Area.

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics) processes aggregated usage data; you can withdraw this consent at any time from our Cookie Policy.

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and data portability at any time by writing to sail@essencesailing.com and stating which right you want to exercise.

If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data: encrypted connections (HTTPS), back-office passwords protected with key-derivation hashing, and access restricted to the Essence Sailing staff who need to review enquiries to handle them.
