About the boat
An eighteen-metre ketch based in Pontevedra, built in 1980 and in active service: she sails at weekends. Five cabins, thirteen people, two heads with hot water and showers. She is very complete: a 9 kVA generator, Webasto heating, air conditioning, bow thruster, teak gangway and bathing ladder, a full sail wardrobe, furling main, mizzen, genoa and self-tacking staysail, eight winches, two CQR anchors with eighty metres of chain and a 1,000 W Lofrans windlass. The engine is frugal, around six litres an hour at 1,400 rpm. The owner is straight about what she needs: updated charts, an AIS, a liferaft service, and at the last haul-out the rudder showed some osmosis. The genoa's sun strip is in poor condition and the mizzen has none.
How does it work?
Charters run as a 8-hour day, boarding between 10:00 and 13:00 and coming back in between 18:00 and 21:00. Extra hours are possible on request and subject to confirmation with the crew. Skipper and crew are included, and the route is agreed with you on the day based on the forecast.
